Why must club? I heard this question several times
while talking with some dogsports lovers.
However, a dogsport, whatever it is, never could be do
alone. In a competition, there are Handler, Dogs, Agitator, Judge and
Audiences. So do in the daily exercises, they have their own duties.
Let's say that I can do the exercise alone just with
my dog in Obedience phase. Maybe we can do Heeling, Walking Sit,
Walking Down and Recall, Retrieve and Send Away well.
But, needs to remember, that in Heeling exercise,
there are 2 times gun shot test. And there is number 8 configuration
turning 4 peoples in Heeling pattern.
These 2 things needs 2-4 peoples to help in the field.
For making gun shot, and peoples who standing for number 8
configuration Heeling.
And the most important, during the competition, there
is a judge who always walking while judging.
In Protection phase, this exercise surely needs more
than 1 people to help. Of course the Agitator.
Maybe I need 1-2 more peoples beside the Agitator to
help me in the field.
In Tracking phase. I take an example in IPO Tracking
phase. IPO 1 track layed by myself. But it doesn't mean I can do that
alone. I need someone to help me to take a look while me and my dog
doing the tracking.
In IPO 2 and IPO 3, track layed by other person. So I
needs other people to help me here.
Because of this all, also for a success in dogsports,
I decided to join with Blackhead's Club.
At Blackhead's Club, beside we do training, we also
discuss about how to training and handling a dog in the correct way.
Also discuss about the problems we are facing, and how to resolve
them. Sometimes we do gossiping :P
Don't forget, Blackhead's Kennel has delicious coffee
and beautiful female Malinois. :P
But the most important is, at the begining of 2008, we
start to exercise in a new field. The information can be read
here.
