We can do some tests to recognize our puppies'
talents.
A. Rank Test
- Explore Behaviour:

Take the puppy to a new environment. Do this test
one by one.

Look at the puppy's willingness to explore.

Mark A for puppy who explore the new environtment.

Mark B for puppy barking and try to explore the new
environtment.

Mark C for puppy who feel lost, turns around and
crying when looking the environment.

Mark D for puppy do nothing.
- Confident to Stranger:

After 30 seconds, approach 1 stranger and look if
the puppy comes with confident or shyness or even just stay still.

Mark A for puppy who comes confident and bites.
-
Then try to run, see if the puppy has a willingness
to follow.

Mark A for puppy follow with confident.
- Response to Visual Stimulus:

Throw an object, such like a plastic bottle without
touching the puppy.

Mark A for puppy who jump or catch the object and
bites.

Mark B for puppy who just watching carefully the
object and then play with the object and learn it.

Mark C for puppy who scares and keep a position with
the object, or walk away or even crying.

Mark D for puppy who really scares and run away even
stay far from the object
- Response to Auditory Stimulus:

We can make a strange sounds to make a mark.

Mark A for puppy who show it head and ears up to the
source of the sounds and stay.

Mark B for puppy who run because of scare but then
it come back to the source of the sounds and wait what the next
reaction.

Mark C for puppy who run because of scare but then
it come back because the owner call.

Mark D for puppy who run because of scare and not
come back.
- Rank Dominance:

Sleep over the puppy with 4 legs up and hold lightly
on his chest within 30 seconds, and see what is it reaction.

E for puppy do nothing.

Now lift up the puppy, hold his chest with two
hands. This is done like Rank dominace.

- Alpha Test (Do together):

Give food to puppies where they have an access to
the food bowl.

Mark A for puppy who not fight, eat calmly until it
sits and no other puppies who disturb.

Mark B for puppy who always changin position when
eat, but eat calmly.

Mark C for puppy who barking.

Mark D for puppy who just wait until the other
finished.
- When suckling:

Mark A for puppy who got the nipple the first time.

Mark B for puppy who got the nipple the second time.

Mark C for puppy who got the nipple but keep
choosing which one to suck.

Mark D for puppy who keeps fighting to got the
nipple.
B. Environment Test
For those puppies who passed the Rank Test, bring the
puppies to a park with medium to high distraction and see how the
puppy behaves.
C. Biting Test
Bring to no distraction place and give towel or tug
for the puppy to bite. Look at the behaves when biting.

Throw the metal pipe, if it is retrieved, means good
Bite and calm with bite and noisy are in the same prey
drive, only the emotion is different.
From the test, in generally we can recognize the puppy
who got more mark A will be the Alpha.
But sometimes, there is a "miss" when test is doing by
the owner.
From the test, we will recognize also, which puppy is
Alpha, Beta, Omega, Mid Rank and Low Rank with their role and
character below.
- Alpha (Male/Female)
Role: Leader, protect the pack, decision maker,
control breeding.
Character: Confidence, dominant, intelligent,
self assurance, aloof.
- Beta
Role : Execute, enforce, discipline.
Character: Aggressive, dominant, show off,
provoke, intelligent.
- Omega
Role: Maintain harmony in a pack,dilute
aggresion.
Character: Excellent communication skill, high
tolerance, cooperative, intelligent.
- Mid Rank
Role: Hunting, as a Nanny, teacher for young
hunters, biggest population.
Character: Follow order, high trainibility,
cooperative, medium to high hardness
- Low Rank
Role: Alert danger for others.
Character: Soft and very sensitive.
