Michael David Burghart Ruben, was born in Schevenigen, Netherland in July 25th. 1963. He is a Dutch with still has Indonesian bloodline. And the world of dog become an interesting thing for him because he start to train the dog since he was 10 years old.

At that time, he trained a Duitse Jacht Terrier (German Hunting Terrier)

Trying become one or become a combination with the dog is the reason why he likes the dog training.

Michael, beside a good dog trainer, actually he is good too in other sports such like Martial Arts, Budosports, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu also Aikido.

But, at the moment, he still active in dogsports and Yoga/Taichi.

In the begining, he joined VDH de Randstad Club with train a German Shepherd Dog and start his career in KNPV in 1988.

And now he owned a Dog Training Club called Kynosport (www.kynosport.nl) which has 25 members.

And he also has a new branch in Indonesia called Kynosport Dog Training Institute Indonesia (www.kynosport.net) which helped by one of Blackhead's Club member, Umar Sesko A.D.

Beside the PH 1 (KNPV) titled dog, he also become a dog handler, as a security officer later become dog instructor K-9 Unit Security Company, and certified as Kynologish Instructor and has some own business.

There are 2 reasons why he established Kynosport, the first is there's a lot of problem dogs (to the owner and environment). And the second, if you train in a sport, actually we are playing and have fun. And this three things (sport, play, fun) is a game which make peoples aware about working dog.

And total program and if still interested go into KNPV and SAR (Search And Rescue) program.

He also has reasons why he established Kynosport in Indonesia. Because become a good friend with Liman Fransiscus (Blackhead's Malinois), he wanna share knowledge that's dog training all about and help each other to higher level.

He also want to start serious life with his family in Indonesia and think at future.

Michael has his own opinion about Indonesian dogsports, the dogs, and the handler now and later.

For him, Indonesian dogsports at the begining of a new era because of Liman Fransiscus who motivates with his Malinois, new methods of dog training which can be used at different levels.

From what he seen, peoples are very eager and curious to see and learn, and that's positive things.

The dogs are always good, every thing must come out of handler. So if the dog is doing something wrong, you have to ask first yourself.

The handler, not all but some are sometime stubborn and not aware of the new possibilities. You habe to take only what you need for yourself to become a better handler.

Michael suggest to handler to never train alone, always with good instructor who has the knowledge and keep in the program, also learn about dog behaviour follow this world wide. Talk about the training methods you use with the instructor and club members and listen to them.

For the last, Michael wish dog handlers in Asia cam become mote better in the future.
